Mike S and team have been great with helping me get into a new bike. Talked me through sizing options, upgrades and fit. The shop rides are an added bonus. I’m pretty sure I’ve found my new neighborhood bike shop.
Excellent tune-up service for my gravel and touring bikes. I had a few quirky things that needed some attention -placement of a holder for my radar light and a finicky bike lock holder that needed to be secured. I appreciated the time Mike took to fix these. Have been going here for years and can easily recommend this shop.
March 2024: big sale before the spring bike show. Helpful staff, good stock on bikes and gear.
July 2023: stock is definitely much better, things have really picked up & the trail shop staff are very helpful. We got in, got helpful advice, got going and that's what matters! Recommend. Have decent products & good stock can order items from their online offering & pickup. The annual sales event is where you can really score on the accessories and bikes you want.

Would give 6 stars. Favorite MTB store in Ontario. Mechanics super knowledgeable and helpful. Above and beyond in helping me with warranty fix, and anything else MTB related since they first opened. So close to trails so you can stop in when riding when you need something. A no. 1. Top of the heap.
Loved the experience at Bateman's. I had help narrowing down to 3 choices, did a few test drives then chose this yellow beauty. Beckett, Nick, Piero and the others worked as a team to get my bike kitted out right away.

Bateman’s Trailshop! What a beauty place. The whole gang in there are always on point, making sure us mountain bike folks are set up to rip the trails. Austin, you’re a legend bro.
Can’t beat these guys. Had to come by impromptu to fix my chain on 11-03-24 and Becket and his colleague took the time to make sure it was in good order while also tending to other customers. Best in class customer service and stand up guys.

I needed an emergency repair done on my mtb bike following my ride at the Don. Walked in 20 minutes to closing time and Louis saved the day. He was very helpful and repaired my bike expeditiously! Within minutes, I was riding the Don again, somebody give this man a raise!
We had a fantastic experience at Bateman's Bicycle Company. Amazing customer service, the best ever at a bike repair shop. One of our crank arms had worn out and the staff diagnosed and fixed the problem within 15 minutes for a reasonable price. Super friendly, fair, and explained the issue clearly. Even found a used part on hand to save us $.
I wish that I could give more than five stars; maybe seven or even ten! Bateman's Trail Shop in Leaside has become my favourite bike shop. I no longer leave Toronto to drive out to Hamilton (I used to spend the time and gas because a bike shop there was worth it). Bateman's has it all and everything is first rate: sales, service, expert advise and the best customer service; not only compared to other bike shops, but to any other type of store. It does not matter who you deal with there, all of the staff members are excellent. I mainly deal with Austin Floyd, the Sales Manager. He has gone above and beyond what most people would to help me out from the time I first stepped into the store looking to buy a new mountain bike. I had visited other stores and had other options also in mind, but Austin and Bateman's won me over. I bought my pride and joy through him. As long as Bateman's is in business, I will keep going to it!

Austin and crew are always helpful and engaging. A core mtb shop is rare! Let's keep it alive. Support them instead of the corporate places like Gears.
Great experience. Took my road bike in for a tune up. They didnt try to up sell me and we're very honest regarding what I needed. Price very reasonable. Highly recommend.

I would give them 6 stars if I could (******) I’ve bought bikes (Rocky Mountain) from them, sold bikes (Rocky Mountain) at the bike swap, had excellent service fixing problems I couldn’t tackle, they support the local riding community, best shop in the city!
