Thank you for your interest in the Bateman’s Youth Development Program (BDP). We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our second round of open tryouts for our program on Wednesday May 1st from 5:30PM - 7:30PM!
This session will be our second evaluation, with the goal of selecting the right group of like minded kids that are at a similar skill level between the ages of 9-12.
Starting Point: Bateman’s Trail Shop (rear entrance)
Trail Ride Location: Don Valley dropping in at 3 Rocks / Loblaws off Redway Rd.
End Point: Bateman’s Trail Shop (rear entrance)
What to bring: Working bike, riding gear, water and a trail snack.
What to Expect: Kids will be participating in various bike drills along with some technical trail riding intervals. All sessions will be fun focused with room for evaluation and development. We do ask that parents do not join the ride.
Program Specifics: We will cover program details, such as cost, schedule and events after the ride at 7:00PM.
There will be post-ride pizza and drinks for the kids back at the Trail Shop, where kids can mingle, and parents can ask questions about the program.
The development program has been designed for little rippers who are looking to take the necessary steps towards advancing their technical trail riding skills. The BDP program will offer the opportunity for kids to build towards competition and mountain bike racing across various disciplines.
Our program provides young athletes the ability to train in a group atmosphere allowing for further skill development and team building.
